The Shop is a privilege, not a right. Acting safely in it not only protects you, but it protects our ability to have this shop in the future. If you hurt yourself or others, this privilege may be stripped from us.

General Protocol
- Never work alone. There must always be another person in the shop or adjacent clubroom space.
- Users may bring a maximum of one additional person to accompany them in the space. This person must also sign-in.
- It is the responsibility of the shop user to ensure their accompanying person is following all shop rules.
- Accompanying persons must sign in when entering the shop.
- Accompanying persons are not permitted to operate machinery in the shop.
- The shop user must be working in the same room as their accompanying person.
- Shop supervisors exceptions can be made for tours.
- Never operate equipment until you have been given instruction on its operation from a Shop Supervisor.
- Never sit or lean on a machine.
- Never operate a machine if you are sick, tired, under the influence, or any state which affects your physical and/or emotional abilities.
- Never engage in rough-housing, pranks, etc. in the shop.
- Never eat or drink anything in the shop.
- Never remove or deactivate safety devices or guards on any tool or machinery.
- Users are required to sign and out in when entering and exiting the shop.
- Never permit untrained users to enter the workshop space unless they are your accompanying person.
Code of Conduct
- Users must listen to the Shop Supervisors.
- Users must report any unsafe behaviours or hazards they see.
- Users must not discriminate against any other shop users.
- Users must treat other shop users and tools within the shop with respect.
- Users must be able to receive the support they need to feel safe within the shop. User should also offer help and support to other users when needed.
