Rules for Booking

Equipment bookings are not guaranteed
- Ensure you have proper access and training to use the piece of equipment you are booking
- Verify that your booking does not overlap with another.
- Workshop supervisors may cancel or change any booking at their discussion
- Do not use any damaged equipment, or any equipment that is labelled as out of order.
Be courteous
- Do not book machines that are currently in use
- Try to complete work and clean the equipment before the start of others’ booking times
- be patient if someone else is finishing at the start of your booking
- There is currently no rule about booking limits. Do not be the reason this rule list is expanded.
If a user more than 10 minutes late for a booking, the booking is forfeited.
If someone finishes using equipment before the end of a booking, it is free to use
Booking equipment is optional for IGEN students
Booking is required for users outside of IGEN to access the IGEN shop
- If the equipment you are looking to use is not bookable, you must book a workbench to use the space.
Persons without card access to the IGEN workshop cannot book equipment outside of open hours.
